FireAid has distributed $50 million in grants following its star-studded concert fundraiser, the nonprofit announced Tuesday.
The shows, put on through a partnership between Live Nation, AEG and the Azoff Company, raised $100 million through two benefit concerts at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum in Inglewood. More than 30 artists played between the two venues and brought in 50 million viewers through 28 streaming platforms.

Tuesday’s $50 million in grants kicks off the initial phase of funding. The community-based organizations that received the funding “have the infrastructure, experience and relationships necessary to efficiently and equitably deliver assistance to fire-impacted individuals,” according to the nonprofit. Each organization received $100,000 or more, with the intent to offer immediate relief funding. Organizations selected include Baby2Baby, several YMCAs, NAACP of Pasadena, MusiCares Foundation, LAUSD Foundation, CORE and more.
Grants have also been allocated to several individuals affected by January’s wildfires. Among those individuals are displaced residents, workers, small business owners and first responders with “a focus on essential services, food assistance, childcare support, critical healthcare resources, housing support, rental relief, student assistance programs and navigation services to ensure victims can access legal resources, government benefits and seamlessly work through challenging paperwork,” according to a release.
The first phase will conclude by the end of February. FireAid will distribute phase two funding that focuses on additional relief for long-term recovering and rebuilding. The nonprofit has also established a program for issuing smaller grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.
A complete list of organizations that received funding from the grants can be found on FireAid’s website.
