Fire causes $355K in damage to attic above Vermont St. grocery store
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A fire that broke out Friday afternoon caused over $350,000 in damage to the attic above Azooz Deli and Grocery on Vermont Street, officials announced.
The Buffalo Fire Department responded to 331 Vermont Street, a 2 1/2 story structure with a grocery store on the first floor and apartments on the second, at 12:56 p.m. The fire was confined to the attic, officials said.
The structure sustained a total of $355,000 in damage. The building next door, 333 Vermont St., sustained $7,000 in exposure damage from the fire.
