Fire causes $215K in damage to Buffalo home, displaces 3
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Three adults were displaced by a fire that occurred early Tuesday night in Buffalo, which caused an estimated total of $215,000 in damage, a city spokesperson announced.
Just before 6:30 p.m., crews responded to the fire at 53 West Delavan Ave., a two-story residence. Flames were reported in the back of the residence, officials said.
Firefighters saved one person who was transported to ECMC for smoke inhalation and is currently in stable condition.
Officials said the fire caused an estimated $150,000 in damage to the residence’s structure and $65,000 to its contents.
The Red Cross is assisting the three adults who were displaced.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
