CVBCA Bowl-A-Thon
Saturday, Feb. 17 (But entry forms/fee due Feb. 9)

Teams of six are invited to compete in the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance’s 27th annual Bowl-A-Thon.
The event will feature the Ulta Wheel of Beauty and the “famous ‘Strike’ game.” There will also be raffles.
Food will be available to purchase with proceeds benefitting CVBCA.
Someone from each team must register and turn in the $60 entry fee no later than Feb. 9. Go to thecvbca.org/bowl-a-thon to register online or to download the appropriate forms.
Galentine's Day Comedy Event
Saturday, Feb. 10
Capitol Theatre, 159 S. Main St., Chambersburg
Get your girlfriends together for an evening of wine, treats, shopping and laughs. Comedian and inspirational speaker Karen Mills is known for finding the humor in things from everyday life, a skill she used to get through being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Now cancer-free, she regularly travels the country performing stand-up comedy shows and speaking at events.
This Galentine's event will also feature pop-up shops from downtown Chambersburg businesses Black & Blush clothing boutique, Hammer & Stain DIY studio, Here's Looking at You clothing boutique and The Ruby Beauty Company, plus Postmaster's Bakery of Waynesboro.
Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the show at 7 p.m.

Whitetail Winterfest
Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 10 and 11
Whitetail Resort, 13805 Blairs Valley Road, Mercersburg
Celebrate winter with music and special skiing and snowboarding events at Franklin County’s ski resort.
Saturday will feature the Toyota Winterfest Rail Jam followed by a live concert, food and other fun.
The fan-favorite skier/snowboard cross will happen Sunday, and their will be a DJ throughout the day.

Night of Music
Sunday, Feb. 18
United Methodist Church, 11 N. Fayette St., Mercersburg
Churches of the Mercersburg area host an evening with dinner and live music.
The meal includes pork loin, meatballs, scalloped potatoes, cole slaw, green beans, dinner rolls, assorted cakes and drinks. The meal costs $12 for adults and $6 for kids ages 5-12.
Long Rifles and Quilts exhibit
Through April
Franklin County Historical Society, 175 E. King St., Chambersburg
Long rifles and quilts crafted by Franklin County citizens throughout history will be on display at the Old Jail, home of the historical society. The exhibit will remain on display in the 1880 cell block until April. It's included in the regular tour price.
The historical society is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
