Fall fun: Midtown Village hosts inaugural Harvest Jam in Tuscaloosa
Midtown Village on Friday hosted the shopping center's inaugural fall festival, Harvest Jam. The event featured live music from local alt-rock band Poseidon, craft-beer samplings of 16 flavors provided by Adams Beverages, a photo booth, pop-up shops including art, food and more.
Admission was free, but patrons could pay $5 charge to sample the beers. Included in that price was a souvenir 5-ounce tasting glass. Money raised will benefit Child Abuse Prevention Services of Tuscaloosa, a nonprofit agency that provides a range of education programs for parents, children and the community at large. The agency's goal is to end child abuse through increased community education and awareness.
More than 20 local vendors participated in Harvest Jam, including Delightful Cookies & Treats, Blind Dog Biscuit, Ivory LeShore’s Gourmet Bread Pudding and Cheesecake, Cutter’s Cigars, Coro’s Art and more.
Coming up, Midtown Village will host All is Bright, a holiday-themed event with Christmas lighting and decor, a snow machine, vendors, a DJ and a visit from Santa Claus. All Is Bright is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Nov. 11.
Midtown Village is at 1800 McFarland Blvd. E.
