Escaped sex offender spotted in Columbus after another kidnapping
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A registered sex offender who has been on the run for almost two months surfaced again Friday in Columbus.
Quinntel Bagley escaped police custody on June 13, after being arrested and accused of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend in Grove City. Officers had taken him to Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, where he sprinted away from them in the parking lot.

The Grove City Division of Police told NBC4 that Bagley returned to the same ex-girlfriend’s home around 6 a.m. Friday morning, kidnapping her again and driving her to the west side of Columbus. She was able to get away from Bagley without injury, and last saw him near Eureka Avenue and West Broad Street.

The division warned Bagley, 38, should be considered armed and dangerous, and asked anyone who saw him to call 911, or the U.S. Marshals at 614-469-5540.
Grove City police said Bagley had access to a car in the latest kidnapping, but didn’t specify whose it was. After escaping police custody in June, he stole a car from a nearby home and drove onto US-33. Authorities looking for him later found the car abandoned on the highway, and residents at an apartment complex spotted him running into the woods behind the property.
A registered Tier II sex offender, Bagley had served 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to kidnapping and felonious assault in 2012. Three counts of rape, two counts of felonious assault and one count of kidnapping were dropped as part of the plea agreement. He had about three of five years remaining of post-release control when he was arrested Thursday.
