Eglin Air Force Base says more night flying operations will begin May 20
EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE — The nighttime thunder of military jets over Okaloosa County that began Monday is scheduled to end this week, but Eglin Air Force Base says it'll resume just a few short days later.
The 58th Fighter Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base, which is currently conducting night operations through Thursday, will run similar operations from May 20 to 22.
Each day, missions are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. and end at 11 p.m. Night operations are required by the squadron for training purposes.
