BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An Orchard Park man was sentenced to nine months in jail for hitting a woman who was pushing a stroller on Hunters Ridge Road last summer, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.
Justin Wnuk, 43, hit the woman, 69, who was pushing the stroller on the side of Hunters Ridge on July 7, 2024. The woman was taken to ECMC to be treated for a head injury as well as fractures to her knee, hip and spine. The toddler suffered minor injuries.
Wnuk, who fled the scene, was located a short time later. He pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an incident resulting in serious physical injury in November.
