The list of Democratic politicians urging President Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 election has grown to 35. They join a handful of high-profile celebrities, media personalities and donors pushing for a new name at the top of the ticket.
Pass the Torch, a group that wants Biden to step down, has launched a TV ad to air in Washington and Rehoboth, Delaware, where Biden often vacations, and features Democratic voters from Pennsylvania urging Biden to "pass the torch."
Biden has repeatedly insisted he will stay in the race, and in an interview on MSNBC on Friday morning, Biden campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon said the president is “absolutely” still running for the White House.
