Dallas Moore Band returns to Pekin bar this weekend for first time in several years
Outlaw country singer and songwriter Dallas Moore is returning to Pekin’s Twisted Spoke Saloon.
“This will be the second time that we did a show at the Twisted Spoke Saloon,” Moore said. “The first time we did it was several years ago, and we had a great show there.”

Moore has been an outlaw country artist for over 25 years, during which time he has released 17 albums.
He has toured with such outlaw country and southern rock artists as Willie Nelson, The Allman Brothers Band, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, George Jones, David Allan Coe, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Billy Joe Shaver, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Marshall Tucker Band, Charlie Daniels, Moe Bandy, Kinky Friedman, Dale Watson.
He has also been featured in publications including Billboard, American Songwriter Magazine, Taste of Country, The Boot.com, Country Weekly Magazine, No Depression, Cowboys and Indians Magazine, Garden and Gun Magazine.
The Dallas Moore Band’s Saturday show at Twisted Spoke will feature songs from his latest album: “No God in Juarez,” and will open with performances by Peoria-based artists the Matt Miller Band and Bradley Allen Coco. Released in June, “No God in Juarez“ has hit the Top 40 on the Americana Music Album Chart, the Top 10 on the Alternative Country Album Chart, and has spent 14 weeks on the Roots Music Report Top 50 Country Album Chart.
“Everybody's always welcome at our shows,” Moore said. “We get young and old and everything in between.”
Moore said he is no stranger to central Illinois, having played at such venues as Whiskerz Pub in Lacon, the Back Room Lounge in Riverton, the Country Saloon in East Peoria, and The Pub in Henry.
“We’ve really developed a good following in central Illinois,” he added. “Most of our shows are sold out or have a very good crowd. We just love the people and when (Twisted Spoke owner Dan Steinbach) asked us to do a return date at the Twisted Spoke Saloon, we were all in. I was really looking forward to getting back there because we had such a great show a few years ago.”
The Twisted Spoke Saloon is located at 251 Derby St., Pekin. Doors for Saturday’s show will open at 7 p.m., and performances will begin at 8 p.m.
