Sent out to Costco members on June 1, the recall notice revealed that customers who purchased the Tillamook Colby Jack and Tillamook Monterey Jack cheese slices between May 9 and May 31, 2024 should take note that the combo pack is being voluntarily recalled due to the potential presence of gray and black plastic pieces. The item in question, which bears the item number of 651195, has a "Best If Used By" date of October 22, 2024, is presented in a 32-ounce twin-pack and was produced for Costco locations only in the Northwest region.

While the affected items have been removed from shelves, Tillamook and Costco have raised concerns that customers could potentially still have it in their possession. If this happens to be you, they are urging you to refrain from consuming it and to return it to your local Costco for a full refund. If, however, you have consumed the product, no action needs to be taken, as "the likely presence of the foreign plastic material is very minimal," according to the recall.
