(WFRV) – Motorists in Wisconsin can possibly get a collector plate for the vehicle, but what does it take to qualify? The Wisconsin Department of Transportation explained what it takes to get one of these specialty plates.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) posted on its Facebook page reminding vehicle enthusiasts of what it takes to get a collector license plate. The post said that if the vehicle is 20 years or older and the body has not been altered from the original, it can qualify for the plates.
The registration fees vary depending on what kind of vehicle it is. Prices range from $73 to $298. There are some things motorists should know before registering. One of which is that the owner of a collector vehicle must own or lease one other motor vehicle for regular transportation.
