Clarence man sentenced for domestic violence incident
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Clarence man has been sentenced to 1 1/2 to three years in prison for a domestic violence incident that occurred in 2023, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday.
Henry Jurek, III, 47, attempted to cause injuries to a victim by slamming their head into a cement ground at a home on Silver Birch Court on July 13, 2023. The victim was taken by ambulance to be treated at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
Jurek, III pleaded guilty in May to second-degree attempted assault. He was sentenced as a second felony offender.
He was originally facing six charges:
First-degree unlawful imprisonment
Second-degree attempted assault
Third-degree assault
Resisting arrest
Second-degree obstruction of governmental administration
Disorderly conduct
A final order of protection was issued, remaining in effect until February 2035.
