CINQCARE to lay off nearly half of employees in April
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The home health services company CINQCARE will be laying off almost half of their Buffalo employees in April.
On April 7, 51 out of 117 employees across two locations will lose their jobs, according to a WARN notice published Monday by the New York State Department of Labor. At its Main Street location, 22 out of 44 employees will be affected, while its Niagara Street location, 29 out of 73 workers will be impacted.
None of the workers are represented by a union.
CINQCARE serves those enrolled in Medicaid suffering from multiple chronic conditions and mental health conditions. On its website, the company cites its mission as removing healthcare barriers in underserved communities.
The NYSDOL did not cite a reason for the layoffs.
