Chicago Med photo sees original cast members reunite
Former Chicago Med stars Brian Tee and Colin Donnell shared a behind-the-scenes reunion during filming for season nine of the medical drama.
Taking to Instagram, Tee revealed he had received an on-set visit from Donnell while he was working as a director on season nine.
"So I'm directing my Ep of #ChicagoMed and guess who made a surprise visit... the @colindonnell," he captioned the behind-the-scenes pic, which showed the pair smiling for the camera while wearing headphones around their necks.
"Great to see you old friend. The #OG Docs."

Tee and Donnell had both been part of the original Chicago Med cast during its season one premiere back in 2015, starring as Dr. Ethan Choi and Dr. Connor Rhodes respectively.
Donnell left the medical procedural show in 2019, with his character Connor making his exit from Chicago Medical Center during the season five premiere after suspecting that his father had been murdered by his ex-girlfriend.
Meanwhile Tee confirmed his departure from the series in 2022 after eight seasons, with his exit storyline seeing his character tie the knot with April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta). His departure also coincided with the exits of fellow original cast members DaCosta, Nick Gehlfuss and Torrey DeVitto.
Following his exit Tee announced that he would be returning to season nine as a director, being credited for episode 8 'A Penny for Your Thoughts, Dollar for Your Dreams' and episode 9 'Spin a Yarn, Get Stuck in Your Own String'.

Tee and Donnell's reunion comes off the back of confirmation of that all One Chicago Universe shows would be renewed for another season.
The renewal means that Chicago Med as well as sister shows Fire and PD will return for a respective 10th, 13th and 12th season, a move which guarantees the future of the franchise until next year.
Chicago Fire, Med and PD air on NBC in the US and Sky Witness in the UK.
