Celebrity Gogglebox stars name legendary EastEnders character "the original gangster"
Comedians Mo Gilligan and Babatunde Aléshé gave a shoutout to an EastEnders legend on tonight's (June 14) Celebrity Gogglebox episode.
Series 6 of the popular reality show began last Friday (June 7), featuring Chris Packham, Danny Dyer, Jennifer Saunders and Jordan Banjo.
This week, as the celebs settled in to watch Celebrity Bridge of Lies, Mo and Babatunde were overjoyed to see Ross Kemp hosting the game show.

"Man like Ross Kemp," said Babatunde pointing at the screen. "Come on!" agreed an equally excited Mo.
"Original gangster, bruv," stated Babatunde, before he confirmed it was "Grant, bro". The pair continued reminiscing about Kemp's character, saying he had a "good name".
Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand also revealed his admiration of the iconic EastEnders brothers. "Me and my cousin used to think we were Phil and Grant. Two mixed-race versions," he told his wife Kate.
"What?! You're nothing like Phil and Grant!" she laughed. "Yeah, but it's just the way they used to carry themselves. Used to run the area, didn't they?" he clarified.

As Kemp went on to explain the rules of the game, the celebrity viewers debated whether they would fare well on the show.
"Do you reckon you could do this?" Babatunde asked Mo, to which his friend replied: "No. There's too much going on. I just want to answer questions. Bruv, I went on The Cube... Shockingly bad!"
In 1999, Kemp left his iconic role as Grant Mitchell in EastEnders, but he has returned occasionally for important storylines and is often mentioned by the Square's remaining characters, as well as fans.
In the past, he has addressed potentially returning to the show: "I don't think you can ever say never, you know. I loved the part, I did it for 10 years... [I'm] doing lots of different things right now, but never say never."
Celebrity Gogglebox airs and streams on Channel 4.
