Buffalo woman sentenced for stabbing boyfriend to death
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo woman was sentenced to an indeterminate sentence of 1 to 3 years in prison Thursday morning for stabbing her boyfriend to death in 2020, the Erie County District Attorney’s office announced.
Just before 8 p.m. on Nov. 19, police responded to a residence on Heward Avenue for a reported stabbing. Charrinda Gray, 50, stabbed Samuel A. Jackson, 46, with a kitchen knife during an argument.
Jackson was transported to ECMC where he later died.
Gray pled guilty to second-degree manslaughter in August of last year. She waived her right to file a motion under the Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act as a condition of the plea.
