BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was sentenced Monday morning after he shot a man multiple times during a dispute back in September on Kenmore Avenue, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Officials said they responded to the 300 block of Kenmore Avenue just before 4:10 p.m. on Sept. 9 for reports of a shooting. A 36-year-old man was transported to ECMC for injuries to his lower torso and hand.
Joel Brown, 46, attempted to cause serious injuries by shooting the victim multiple times during an argument about money.
Brown turned himself in to Tonawanda police on Sept. 17. He was sentenced as a second felony offender to nine and a half years in prison followed by five years of post release supervision. An order of protection remains in effect for the victim until February 2036.
