BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was sentenced to two years in prison for having around 28,000 images of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Friday.
Patrick Malloy, 34, had the images on several different electronic devices that were seized during a search in June 2023. The images includes ones of minors under the age of 12 engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
He was convicted of possession of child pornography in August 2023. He had faced up to 20 years in prison.
As part of the sentence, he must also pay $48,000 in restitution and register as a sex offender.
