Buffalo man arrested after break-in at Old First Ward Brewing
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was arrested and charged Thursday after he allegedly broke in to Gene McCarthy’s Old First Ward Brewing Company and stole money from a donation jar, according to the Buffalo Police Department.
Officers responded to 73 Hamburg St. on Dec. 2 after employees at the bar called to report an overnight break-in. It is alleged that 35-year-old Steven Palistrant unlawfully entered the establishment and stole around $200 from a donation jar.
In a post on Facebook, Old First Ward Brewing said the money was being collected for children in need.
Palistrant was charged with the following:
third-degree burglary
fourth-degree criminal mischief
petit larceny
