'Ellen' surprises Courteney Cox with a mini 'Friends' reunion and a fake Central Perk
Ellen DeGeneres had a major "Friends" surprise waiting for Courteney Cox when the actress appeared on "Ellen" Tuesday to take her very first Instagram photo.
Cox, who was there to promote her new Facebook Watch docu-series “9 Months with Courteney Cox," explained that she just started the @courteneycoxofficial Instagram account. DeGeneres then revealed that her talk show had recreated Central Perk, the iconic coffee shop from "Friends," to give Cox a setting for her first post.
"I wish Lisa Kudrow was here, because that would be fun," DeGeneres commented, sipping her coffee. A short while later, Cox's "Friends" co-star walked onto the stage.
"You're here!" Cox exclaimed upon seeing Kudrow. "This is a shock...This is my first Instagram post?"
"You came here, thank you," Cox said to Kudrow, giving her an affectionate tap on the knee."
"Well, I wanted to be there for you," Kudrow joked, making an obvious reference to the "Friends" theme song, as Cox groaned in recognition.
Not much time has passed since Cox and Kudrow most previously hung out, with the two actresses stepping out in Beverly Hills for lunch last week.
