Amherst man sentenced for Tonawanda hit-and-run

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An Amherst man was sentenced to two to six years in prison for injuring a motorcyclist in a hit-and-run in Tonawanda last year, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday.

Brian Perrin, 34, hit the motorcyclist in the area of Colvin Boulevard and Eggert Road during the early morning hours of May 11, 2024.

Perrin fled the scene on a bicycle. He was under the influence of alcohol and was located a few miles away in the area of Margaret Road and Charlotte Street. The motorcyclist, a 36-year-old man, was taken to ECMC to be treated for serious injuries.

Perrin pleaded guilty in September to first-degree vehicular assault and leaving the scene of an incident resulting in injury.
