Allegany County man sentenced for killing his parents in 2019
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An Allegany County man was sentenced Monday for killing his parents in November 2019 in Clarksville, officials confirmed to WIVB News 4.
William Larson Jr., who was 17 years old when he killed his mother and father — Lisa Larson and William Larson Sr. — was sentenced to 20 years with five years of post-release supervision for first-degree manslaughter and 15 years to life in prison on a murder charge.
Officials said the sentences will run concurrent.
After firefighters responded to a fire on Nov. 21 in the basement at a home in Clarksville, they found his parents’ bodies. Larson was spotted at the scene and then left on foot.
After he was apprehended, Larson said in an interview with police that his father killed his mother and then threw a knife at him. Larson admitted to firing at his father in the driveway of their home. He later claimed he took action after being abused by his parents.
Autopsy reports for the parents revealed they were shot and stabbed.
Larson originally faced two counts of murder and two counts of manslaughter. He pleaded guilty in October 2022 to first-degree manslaughter in his father’s death and second-degree murder in his mother’s death.
