4 displaced by residential structure fire in Lockport
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Four people were displaced to temporary housing Tuesday night following a residential structure fire in Lockport, according to the City of Lockport Fire Department.
Officials responded to a call around 8 p.m. for flames visible on the exterior of the second floor of 77 Crosby Ave. The fire spread to a small front porch and a corner of the second floor and was quickly extinguished, officials said.
Two adults and two children were home at the time but were able to safely evacuate. They are currently being assisted by the Red Cross. No injuries were reported.
The structure sustained $20,000 in damage and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
