2 charged in false bomb threat in Fredonia
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two people have been charged in connection to an alleged false bomb threat in Fredonia last week, according to the Fredonia Police Department.
20-year-old Jayden Feaster and 45-year-old Melinda Jackson, both homeless, are charged with falsely reporting an incident.
Police said that they received a call about an occupant of a vehicle who was using a gun to honk the horn of a vehicle at the Crosby’s on East Main Street in Fredonia around 8 a.m. Thursday. Officers approached the car and saw towels and blankets blocking the officer’s view into the car. Both allegedly claimed that there was a bomb in the car.
The area was evacuated and a section of the area was closed for several hours throughout the morning. It was found that a BB/pellet gun was used to honk the horn.
Both Feaster and Jackson were released on appearance tickets and will return to court at a later date.
