100 to lose jobs as manufacturing plant shuts down
Correction: A previous version of this story stated that CertainTeed still owns the plant.
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Around 100 people will lose their jobs when a Buffalo manufacturing plant shuts down later this year.
The Oldcastle APG plant in Buffalo’s Lakeside Commerce Park makes fencing, decking and railing. Oldcastle APG, the company that bought what was formerly CertainTeed’s Buffalo plant in 2023, told WIVB News 4 the plant will close “over the coming months”.
“The employees affected by this change are our priority, and we will continue to work together through the next steps of this process,” Oldcastle APG said in a statement Monday.
A warn notice has not yet been posted, and no other details were made available.
