Ciara Clearly Over Ex in ‘I Bet’ Video
Ciara gets even with her ex-fiancé (rapper Future) in the music video for “I Bet,” the lead single from her forthcoming album Jackie. No, Future does not appear in the video, and Ciara hasn’t cast a lookalike actor. But the song’s assertions that her ex will start “loving” her once she finds someone else seem plausible.
Actually, Future is likely to regret the split upon seeing the video. Ciara looks more gorgeous than ever, in looks that range from elegant dancewear (leotard, leg-warmers, pointe shoes) to glamorous couture gowns.
Although the “I Bet” ballad lyrics accuse a nameless lover of “taking advantage” and creeping with a woman with the “silicone” butt and “Brazilian hair,” Ciara is all smiles in the video. She’s evidently transcended from the angry post-breakup phase to a happy place, and is moving on.
The news of her parting with Future was revealed last summer, just months after the birth of their son, Future Zahir Wilburn.
