Here's WWE Champ Seth Rollins Auditioning for 'Mean Girls' and 'The Lion King'
On Sunday night, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins will square off against USA Champion John Cena at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the center-piece of the massive annual Summer Slam event. The two will be throwing down for top-dog status in the world of professional wrestling, and the competition doesn’t end there: Cena broke out on the big screen in this summer’s hit comedy Trainwreck, but as it turns out, Rollins has some pretty impressive acting chops of his own.
The champ showed off his inner thespian during a visit to Yahoo’s New York City studio on Friday, as he reeled off some lines from some of the most iconic characters in movie history.
Okay, so he’s not going to get a recording contract any time soon — his rendition of “Circle of Life” from The Lion King was dead on arrival — but the 29-year-old grappler does a pretty impressive impression of Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs. And, perhaps even more surprisingly, his impression of Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls is truly on point.
Maybe if he keeps honing his craft, he can eventually join The Rock on Ballers.
