Seth Rogen Describes How He Almost Wore Hot Dog Costume to Pitch 'Sausage Party' in Digital HD Clip (Exclusive)
Seth Rogen and longtime partner-in-crime Evan Goldberg did not lack confidence when it came to selling the idea of their animated, raunchy talking hot dog movie, Sausage Party. That does not mean they sold it very easily.
“We’d go in and we’d pitch it, and people would laugh hysterically. And they’d be like, ‘That’s incredible! Good luck getting it made,‘” Goldberg says in an exclusive clip from the digital HD and Blu-ray features (watch above).

“We were so confident we were gonna sell it, we almost wore hot dog costumes to the pitch,” Rogen said. “I’m so glad we didn’t. We might’ve had some slight overconfidence issues.
“No one wanted to make it.”
Of course, a studio finally did — Sony — and it reaped the benefits of major box-office returns. The R-rated Sausage Party earned a cool $97 million in becoming one of the surprise hits of the year.
Sausage Party premieres on digital HD on Tuesday, and 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on Nov. 8.
