How 'Batman v Superman' Sets Up the Rest of the DC Movie Universe
Ostensibly, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel. But, as the second half of the title suggests, the Zack Snyder-helmed superhero smackdown also serves as the launchpad for an interconnected series of DC Entertainment-based films, a slate that includes at least a dozen films over the next several years.
BvS not only introduces Ben Affleck’s Batman into the same world as Henry Cavill’s Superman, but we also get a big dose of Gal Gadot’s mighty Wonder Woman and quick glimpses of Ezra Miller’s Flash, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, and Ray Fisher’s Cyborg. Together, the quintet will dawn into the Justice League. Each will also get solo spinoffs. Click through to see all the live-action DC films in the pipeline. Be warned, there might be mild spoilers ahead. (All photos courtesy of Warner Bros./DC)
