DIY This Valentine Shirt for Next to Nothing

As Valentine’s Day is coming up, we thought we’d showcase a little shredding of our own, with this sweet and simple heart t-shirt. A lot of shredding projects can be extremely intricate and perhaps a little time consuming, but this heart is quick and easy - a little paint and a few quick cuts and you are good to go!

Materials:
T Shirt
Cutting Mat
Fabric Paint
Ribbon
Tools:
Paint brush
Pencil
Ruler
Utility knife (with fresh blade)
Scissors
Instructions:
1. Lay your t-shirt out flat, back side up, and slip the cutting mat inside.
2. Pencil lightly the shape of a heart.
3. Paint a solid heart with your fabric paint, and let it dry.
4. Using your ruler as a guide, slash horizontal cuts across your painted heart- remember to leave a ‘spine’ down the middle where you do NOT slash the t-shirt.
5. Cut a piece of ribbon and tie it to the last slash (the bottom point of heart) and let it hang down.
