Zendaya Is All Class in a Turtleneck and Miniskirt at the US Open
Among the many film stars and sports, fashion, and entertainment personalities who attended the US Open last night to cheer on Serena Williams, was Zendaya—looking classy as ever.
The Euphoria star was photographed walking into New York City's USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center Wednesday afternoon and sitting on the stands with her date: mother Claire Stoermer.
To watch the historic match, Zendaya wore an elegant black, long-sleeved sweater over a white silky skirt or slip dress featuring a soft orange floral print and brown lacy trim. She finished the look with black leather boot heels.
The actress seemed to wear no accessories, but put on a pair of gold-rimmed aviator eyeglasses to better observe the action on the court.
Throughout the match, Zendaya and her mother were pictured cheering on Williams, who ended up the winner against world No. 2 Anett Kontavei. The score was 7-6(4), 2-6, 6-2.
Other celebrities in attendance were model sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid, pro golfer Tiger Woods, and actor Jared Leto, among others.
For the match, Williams wore the same custom Nike crystal-encrusted dress, jacket, and shoes she wore to open the tournament Monday. After her win, BAZAAR.com spoke to Carly Ellis, the lead apparel designer at Nike, who designed the look, about her experience. "There are no words that can summarize the pressure and responsibility that come with designing a piece of history, for the Greatest of all Time. But every moment I have spent on it, even in times of pressure and problem solving, is a delight to be relished for the rest of my life," she said.
