Rebel Moon 1
Zack Snyder’s upcoming Rebel Moon movies will be getting a spin-off comic book series in January 2024.
House of the Bloodaxe will be a prequel to the two part Rebel Moon movie, set to begin streaming on Netflix at the end of this year. The first movie, Rebel Moon: A Child of Fire, will release on December 22, with part two, Rebel Moon: The Scargiver, streams from April 19, 2024.
Rebel Moon: House of the Bloodaxe is written by Mags Visaggio with art from Clark Bint.

“As war is looming on the horizon on the planet Shasu, the leader of the Bloodaxe family is conflicted between living up to his father’s domineering legacy and maintaining the peace. It is up to him to settle the conflicts within himself, and his family, before the entire planet erupts in war,” detailed publisher Titan Comics.
Snyder’s Rebel Moon is a space opera inspired by Star Wars, Heavy Metal magazine and the work of Akira Kurosawa. It focuses on the recruitment of warriors from across the galaxy by Kora, played by Sofia Boutella (Kingsman, The Mummy), as they attempt to make a stand against an oppressive universal government.
Snyder is the director behind Justice League and 300, and if Rebel Moon sounds similar to Star Wars, it’s because it was originally pitched to LucasArts as a Star Wars movie.
Netflix has recently bumped up its subscription offerings, so it will be hoping that new content from fan-favorites like Snyder will keep viewers loyal to its streaming service.
