Are The X-Men Being Teased For A Cameo In The Marvels?
The Marvels
The final trailer for The Marvels has been released - but a previous teaser has got fans freaking out that it might be their first real glimpse of the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
During the teaser, the words “be there for what comes next” are displayed, before the letters fade out, leaving the X as the last to disappear. This comes at the same point that Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, states “they’re here”, as pointed out by The Direct.com. Watch the teaser below.
Now, please, take that with a pinch of salt. But remember that Ms Marvel, one of The Marvels, has been revealed as a mutant, just like the X-Men. And let's not forget Professor X popping up in Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.
It also appears that promotional materials for The Marvels mentions John Ottoman’s scores for X2: X-Men United and X-Men: Days of Future Past as end credits in The Marvels, as reported by Digital Trends.
Fans have been waiting for the X-Men to make their debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since Marvel got the rights back from 21st Century Fox.
The Marvels will release this week on November 10, but it is predicted to perform poorly at the box office. Perhaps that’s enough of a reason for Marvel to drop big hints in these teasers, hoping fans will buy a ticket to watch end credit sequences. Most of us will probably just wait for them to appear on YouTube.
We're hoping Marvel can pause long enough for a rethink of the MCU, and maybe even reboot it with less superheroes.
