Lil Nas X: 5
Lil Nas X is at the forefront of helping to redefine the red carpet. For us, butterflies and fashion are always an homage to Y2K. The padding and epaulet details give military vibes, but the white and pearl embellishments transform it into a soldier of love look. His light blue eye shadow detail is the ideal romantic touch.

Justin Bieber: 3
Oversize suiting is a big sartorial trend for supermodels like Bella Hadid and other Gen Z stars. Bieber pushes the look into high gear when pairing it with the hot pink beanie and ’90s raver sunglasses. The chunky Frankenstein clogs help ground the look — yet it looks forced on him. The Kardashians pull it off better.

Doja Cat: 4
The star is hitting major runway trends with the corset and transparencies. She looks every bit a Grammy winner in this Versace gown. Going blonde instead of a coordinating light blue feels like a missed opportunity, however.

Billie Eilish: 4
Eilish goes full goth glam queen with this conceptual Rick Owens look. The flat black boot might be very comfortable but a platform would’ve had maximum impact. Here’s hoping that Eilish continues her high fashion goth journey as the style really suits her.

Brandi Carlile: 4
Anyone channeling ’70s Elton John gets our vote. The multicolored bedazzled tuxedo blazer takes glam rock to the next level, and the beading on the pant leg and belt enhances the eveningwear desire. The look is completed with the slicked back pompadour hairstyle.

Halsey: 5
This is probably one of the best outings on the red carpet for Halsey. This modern take on vintage glamour is well executed, from the glamorous hat to the staples gown, while the deconstruction of the skirt gives it an unexpected turn.

Dua Lipa: 5
This iconic look from the 1992 S&M collection by Versace, originally worn by Christy Turlington, is what dreams are made of. Her bleach blonde hair and statement gold necklaces are channeling Donatella Versace — the ultimate cherry on top. Lipa knows what she’s doing.

Giveon: 5
Here’s a look for the insider-y crowd. To the untrained eye, this appears to be a dressy take on a trucker jacket and matching pants — but in reality, this one-of-a-kind Chanel ensemble has never been seen before. It’s not every day that one of the most prestigious French fashion houses makes a menswear look for the red carpet. Good for him.
