Willowick Public Library to provide free summer lunches for kids through Greater Cleveland Food Bank
May 20—The Willowick Public Library is once again collaborating with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to provide free summer lunches for children ages 18 and under.
Meals are available Mondays through Fridays, June 3 to Aug. 9, from noon to 1 p.m. at the the library, 263 E. 305 St., according to a news release.
The Summer Food Service Program is a federal nutrition program from the USDA for school-age children administered by the Ohio Department of Education.
June through August is a challenging time of year when students have limited or no access to school lunch programs, the release stated. The Greater Cleveland Food Bank delivers daily nutritious lunches to partner sites that serve the meals to children when school is not in session.
There is no registration required and meals are only available while supplies last. All food must be consumed on site, the release stated.
