We do a lot of things to keep our skin looking and feeling healthy. From buying gentle cleansers and pricey moisturizers to heading to the spa to get a facial, our skincare regimes have a lot of moving parts. But one thing that every skincare routine should include all year round is an SPF.
The CDC says that skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. In fact, Dr. Deanne Mraz Robinson, president and co-founder of Modern Dermatology, tells In The Know that she diagnoses skin cancer patients “of all ages nearly every week.” In short, just because the summer is over, protecting your skin from the sun’s harmful rays shouldn’t be a seasonal occurrence.
Luckily, simply adding a quality sunscreen to your routine is an easy fix. Watch this week’s episode of Add to Cart above to hear why we love these two lightweight sunscreens so much and keep scrolling for all the details.
Shop: Amorepacific Sun Protection Mist Broad Spectrum SPF 30, $75
Credit: Amorepacific
Admittedly on the pricer side of things, we love Amorepacific’s Sun Protection Mist because it is so easy to use. While some people cringe at the thought of slathering on a greasy sunscreen under their makeup, you can rest assured that this product is not like your regular sunscreen. The fine mist is described as “undetectable.”
Shop: Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40, $34
Credit: Sephora
According to its product description, Supergoop’s Unseen Sunscreen is a “totally invisible, weightless, scentless, and makeup-gripping daily primer with SPF 40.” It also has earned a “clean” badge from Sephora, meaning its been formulated without nasty ingredients like parabens, sulfates, mineral oils and more. [Editor’s note: I use this sunscreen every summer and as someone with oily, acne-prone skin, I can confidently say it feels amazing on the skin and doesn’t break me out.]
Bottom line: No matter what sunscreen you choose, protecting your skin is the No. 1 priority.
