Multiple royal reporters have confirmed this morning that Meghan Markle did not join Prince Harry's Sandringham summit meeting with Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, and Prince William this morning via phone because she and Harry decided it wasn't necessary for her to. But E! got some additional detail about how the Duchess of Sussex has been spending her time in Canada as Harry sorts out the details of the two's future in England.

A source told the outlet that Meghan is back at the mansion that she and Harry stayed in this holiday. She's been laying low, especially because the weather on Vancouver Island hasn't been great. "She mostly stays home but ventures out around mid-day just to get out," the source said. When Meghan does go out, she drives a Range Rover with security following behind her.

The source also added that it appears her mother Doria Ragland is with her now, along with Meghan's son Archie, Archie's nanny, and friends who come and go. "She has gone for a drive around town and to pick up someone at the airport that looked like her mom," the source said.

After Harry's summit yesterday, the Queen released a statement confirming that she accepts the two's decision to step back as senior royal family members. She said:

Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family. My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family. Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wishes to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family. Harry and Meghan have made clear that they do not want to be reliant on public funds in their new lives. It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the UK. These are complex matters for my family to resolve, and there is some more work to be done, but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days.
