Why Fans Thought Justin Bieber May Join Usher’s Super Bowl Halftime Show

Ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, fans were convinced Justin Bieber may join Usher during his halftime show. But did he?
Ultimately, Bieber did not join Usher for his performance—although, Alicia Keyes, Ludacris and H.E.R did. So what started the rumors, anyway?
On Saturday, Feb. 10, the "Stay" singer was photographed entering a hotel in Las Vegas, Nev., with members of the Kardashian-Jenner family. (The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers play at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.) Bieber arrived alongside Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian and Kendall Jenner after exiting the Kar-Jenners' private jet earlier in the day.

If it seems like an odd pairing, Bieber has actually been friends with the reality TV family for years. Plus, he is married to Hailey Bieber, one of Kendall's BFFs.
Bieber's presence in Vegas added fuel to the fire when it came to rumors that he would join Usher on stage during the Super Bowl Halftime Show. On Friday, TMZ reported that Usher spoke with Bieber about performing. The outlet's sources did not know details about the outcome of their chat, however.

It would have made sense if Bieber and Usher shared the stage at some point during Super Bowl LVIII on Feb. 11. Usher, 45, mentored young Bieber after Scooter Braun discovered the younger singer in 2018. In 2010, Usher and Bieber collaborated for Bieber's track, “Somebody to Love.”
But alas, the Biebs did not perform alongside Usher at the 2024 Super Bowl, much to some fans' dismay. Hey, there's always next year!
