As Hollywood settles back into grandiose red carpets and events, celebrities are breaking out glamorous looks to match. And Jennifer Garner’s first Academy Awards appearance in two years did not disappoint.
The star (who will soon turn 50) stepped out in a classic red gown to present one of the night’s prestigious golden statues. According to People, the off-the-shoulder number (complete with a sophisticated shallow v-neckline) came from designer Brandon Maxwell, and it paired effortlessly with Sophia Webster platform shoes and a Roger Vivier clutch. Simple, yet dazzling earrings and a bracelet completed the look.
As not to outshine the works of art she wore, Garner’s hair laid in simple, sleek waves parted to one side, and her makeup was left semi-natural; neutral tones swept over her eyes, her skin beaming.
In sharing the look to her Instagram Story, she posed next to her friend, Nicole King Solaka. “Something I do not take for granted—a fancy night out with my girly,” she wrote. As always, Garner’s humble glow floored friends and followers. She may not have been nominated for an award that night, but her jaw-dropping beauty deserved one.
“A vision!! So stunning ??????,” one person commented on Instagram. “A true beauty, inside & out??,” another added. “TIMELESSS @jennifer.garner you are a walking angel. ??,” someone else wrote.
This marks the second red carpet appearance from Garner this year, who recently wowed fans with an equally elegant look at the premiere of her latest film, The Adam Project. On that red carpet, the mom of three channeled her sultry side, rocking a black Alexandre Vauthier halter gown that showed off her toned arms, complete with a peekaboo side slit. An intentionally messy up-do and understated jewelry added sophistication and balance.
The 13 Going on 30 star entrusted both stunning looks to her beloved styling duo Jill Lincoln and Jordan Johnson, and clearly, after two years of staying home, they didn’t hold back.
In February, Garner shared a lighthearted video from one of their fittings, giving fans a behind-the-scenes peek at how they prepare for big events. In the clip, she danced around in various outfits—from dresses to jumpsuits to blazers, even a bathrobe. And of course, she looked effortlessly gorgeous in all of them.
While the star might be trying to normalize looking normal, one thing that is anything but is her glowing skin.
