Joan Collins Calls Out Harry Styles for Incident at Met Gala

Joan Collins has a bone to pick with Harry Styles over an incident that allegedly occurred during the Met Gala in 2019.
The 90-year-old English actress claims that the "As It Was" crooner got in her way during Cher's performance at the annual event, blocking her view of the "Believe" songstress as she belted out the hit from the Temple of Dendur, which is on display in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The accusation comes from Collins' new memoir Behind the Shoulder Pads: Tales I Tell My Friends, per the New York Post. It was her first time at the illustrious event and the now-29-year-old supposedly put a serious damper on the experience when he jumped on top of a table.
“The sophisticated crowd went mad for her, standing up whooping and cheering,” she wrote about the moment, recalling Bette Midler, in a glittering top hat and tailcoat, "boog[ying]" with Julianne Moore and Gwyneth Paltrow doing so with Katie Holmes.
The women were, assumedly, doing so on the ground, though. After Cher's first song, she stepped away for a costume change, returning to the stage in "her original Bob Mackie-style sleek black embroidered bodysuit and a massive black curly wig to sing ‘Believe.’”
Collins noted that Styles climbed atop the table in front of them "and took no notice of [their] entreaties to ‘get down, we can’t see.’“
Despite her obscured view, Collins still "loved" the evening. "I would certainly go again in a heartbeat," she continued, adding that, at "$30,000 a seat," she'll wait for an invite.
