The Nanny Cast
See what Fran, Maxwell, and the rest of this lovable '90s gang is up to.
THEN: Fran Drescher
With her distinctively thick Queens accent, lovable mannerisms, and voluminous hair, this New York-born actress was the perfect pick for Fran Fine, the title character in this family comedy.
NOW: Fran Drescher
Since her days playing the world's funniest babysitter, Drescher has starred in both live action and animated hits including Hotel Transylvania and Shark Bait. And proving she still has a penchant for patterns, she loves to rock dresses in funky prints and bold designs, like this chic leopard dress.
THEN: Charles Shaughnessy
British actor Charles Shaughnessy portrayed handsome, widowed Broadway producer Maxwell Sheffield, giving TV one of its first silver foxes.
NOW: Charles Shaughnessy
Continuing his career on the small screen, Shaughnessy has appeared on big-name TV shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Mad Men, and CSI: NY. He's also lent his lovely voice to the video game industry, playing characters in games including Freelancer and White Knight Chronicles.
THEN: Lauren Lane
This Oklahoma-born actress joined the cast as Chastity Claire "C.C." Babcock, Maxwell's less-than-likable business partner and unsuccessful love interest.
While Lane returned to TV to hang with her old costars in 2004 for The Nanny Reunion: A Nosh to Remember and The Fran Drescher Show, she's mostly stayed out of the film and TV industry. She's primarily doing theater and teaching nowadays, lecturing full-time about acting at Texas State University.
THEN: Daniel Davis
Putting on an English accent for the role, American actor portrayed the Sheffields' no-nonsense butler Niles. His ability to play an upper class British fellow was so spot-on, you would never knew he grew up in Arkansas!
NOW: Daniel Davis
These days, Davis can be spotted more on the stage than on the television. He recently came off of a Broadway stint, having appeared in a revival of "Noises Off" at the Roundabout Theatre in New York City.
THEN: Nicholle Tom
Child actress Nicholle Tom was already experienced in the biz by the time she got to The Nanny at age 15, having already played roles in Beethoven, Beethoven's 2nd, Beverly Hills, 90210, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. It's fitting that this acting veteran played the eldest Sheffield sibling Maggie.
NOW: Nicholle Tom
On top of being known for her role on The Nanny, Tom has voiced Kara Kent, a.k.a. Supergirl, in numerous DC Comics TV productions, as well as appearing in a number of shows like Without a Trace, Castle, and Gotham.
THEN: Benjamin Salisbury
Playing mischievous middle child Brighton Sheffield, Benjamin Salisbury was cast on The Nanny at the youthful age of 13. And hey - did anybody notice just how much this adorable boy looks like a young Ryan Gosling?
1999: Benjamin Salisbury
Since playing Brighton, Salisbury hasn't been acting quite as much as his costars, though he did appear Numb3rs in 2005 and the short film On the Brink in 2006.
THEN: Madeline Zima
Rounding out the cast as Grace, the oh-so-adorable youngest Sheffield kid, was child actress Madeline Zima. Remarkably, this wasn't even the 8-year-old's first big role - she started her career at age 2 (!) in a Downey fabric softener commercial.
NOW: Madeline Zima
Now in her 30s, Zima has enjoyed a successful career on television, appearing for four years alongside David Duchovny in the Showtime series Californiacation, as well as in two seasons of Heroes.
