Where to the best Thai food on the Treasure Coast
In Thailand, food is a central part of social occasions and can even be a social occasion itself or a reason to celebrate. Thai cuisine typically combines the five main flavors of salty, sweet, sour, bitter and spicy. Dishes usually consist of meat or fish, vegetables, rice or noodles and a side of soup.
Thai cuisine and the culinary traditions and cuisines of Thailand's neighbors, including Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia and Indonesia, have had much influence on one another over the centuries. However, India, and more specifically, Indian spices, have had a great influence on Thai cuisine.
Thai National Day on Dec. 5 every year celebrates the diplomacy between the U.S. and Thailand. In Thailand, it's the birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Khob Khun Thai & Sushi
Khob Khun offers a variety of Thai dishes made and is owned by Luksika Bridges who is from the northeastern region of Thailand and moved to Vero Beach in 2008 and opened the first location of Khob Khun in Sebastian in 2022. It serves an assortment of Thai soups, salads, stir fry dishes, fried rice, noodle dishes and bowls and Thai curry. It also serves sushi and desserts, including Thai donuts, banana tempura, red bean ice cream and cheesecake tempura.

The Noodle House
The Noodle House is family-operated and was opened in August 2010. Chef-owner Sam has been in the restaurant industry for over 27 years and has worked in the best hotels in Las Vegas. The restaurant's specialties include spring rolls, fresh spring rolls, chicken satay, pad Thai, massaman curry, both salmon and lobster Thai curries, Thai fried rice, Thai basil stir fry, Thai chicken chili, crispy duck and salmon mango dish. It also offers a variety of sushi and desserts.

Kata Japanese & Thai Restaurant
Kata is located in downtown Vero Beach and specializes in Japanese and Thai cuisine. The lunch has a whole section dedicated to just Thai food and Thai lunch specials. The dinner menu features items including Thai soups, Thai spring rolls, Thai beef, seafood, pork and chicken salads, Thai king (crispy) duck, Thai panang shrimp curry, Thai style fried rice, pad Thai, pad si-ew and spicy noodles. It also offers an assortment of sushi, sashimi, and Japanese and Vietnamese dishes. It is open for lunch and dinner but serves dinner items all day, as well as sake, beer, and wine.

ST. LUCIE COUNTY
Happy Garden Cafe
Downtown Fort Pierce's newest restaurant is on South Second Street, between Rosslow's and the Sunrise Theatre. Owner Jirawan "J.J." Butsadee and chef-owner Saw Myat offer authentic food from their home in Northeast Thailand. The region's style — called esan, isan or issan, which means "northeast" — combines sweet, salty, sour and spice. They have crepes, ramen, poke bowls, larb, grilled rice, and an assortment of Thai coffees and teas (milk, boba and fruit).

Wasabi Thai Sushi
Wasabi Thai is located in downtown Fort Pierce but originated in Sebastian. The menu offers Thai appetizers, soups, salads, stir-fry, fried rice, curries, stir-fry noodles and noodle soups. The Wasabi chef's specials include Wasabi crispy duck, lobster pad Thai, seafood hot pot and lava chicken. It also serves Japanese cuisine and sushi.
Spice Thai Cuisine
Spice Thai Cuisine serves Thai salads, massaman curry, panang curry, pad prig king stir-fried, Spice Thai trio stir-fried, tom yum and tom kha soups and an assortment of pad Thai, pad see ew and drunken noodles. It also offers sushi and Japanese dishes.

Suk Kho Thai
The owners of Suk Kho Thai hail from Sukhothai, a city in northern Thailand. The chefs have backgrounds in cooking Thai and Japanese food as well as sushi and sauce. The menu features items including fresh spring rolls, tom yum and tom kha soup, Thai fried rice, drunken noodles, Suk Kho Thai fried rice, cashew stir-fry, pineapple fried rice, Thai wide rice noodles, pad Thai, pad see eew, Thai basil stir-fry with a fried egg, Thai glass noodles stir-fried and red wine duck. Suk Kho Thai also serves an assortment of sushi, wings, ramen, and Japanese and Thai curry.

Thai House has been family-owned and operated for over 15 years. It offers authentic Thai cuisine, including tom yum soup, tom kha soup, Thai curry, pad Thai, drunken noodles and crispy duck panang.

Krua Thai Restaurant
Chef Ben Wongprom took over ownership of Krua Thai in 2011 and offers Thai cooking classes. It serves an assortment of Thai cuisine, including curry, fried rice, pad Thai, drunken noodles, pad se-ew, soups and Thai entrees. The chef's selection features items such as seafood and fish choo chee curry, fish ginger wine sauce, fish chili sauce, chicken volcano, duck curry, crispy duck, duck pad Thai and soft shell crab ginger wine.

Bangkok Bay Thai and Sushi Restaurant
The Bangkok Bay Thai and Sushi Restaurant offers an extensive menu full of Thai cuisine with items, including pad Thai, pad se-ew, drunken fried rice, Thai fried rice, pad woonsen and Thai curry. It also serves an assortment of Thai dinner entrees, vegetarian options and fresh fish and duck entrees.
