Including a quilted robe that doubles as a trench coat.
When I stepped foot into Target this past Tuesday, I expected to leave with a bottle of body wash — not an entire fashion haul. But of course, once I saw the store’s clothing section, I couldn’t resist taking a peek at its new winter collections. Before I knew it, I was sifting through racks, selecting an array of comfy pieces to try on.
As a shopping writer, it usually surprises people that I don’t buy clothes often, especially in person. Trying on outfits in horribly-lit dressing rooms isn’t exactly enticing, but I was willing to face my fears to see the pieces on me before buying them. Not only was I pleased with my finds, but I loved them so much, I bought all seven, including a fuzzy bodycon dress. Keep scrolling to see the winter-ready styles I snagged at Target starting at just $10.
Wild Fable Long-Sleeve Mini Sweater Dress
Target shoppers and I agree: this is the “perfect holiday dress.” The mini dress exudes winter charm with its cheeky off-the-shoulder silhouette and cozy fabric. It clings in all the right places, accentuating my curvy figure without showing off too much tummy. Plus, the dress is so comfortable that I’ve been wearing it around the house like it’s loungewear, and I plan to dress it up with knee-high boots, a statement belt, and pearl earrings for upcoming holiday parties.
Wild Fable Fitted Mock Turtleneck Zip-Up Cardigan
There’s no such thing as owning too many layers this time of year. Wild Fable’s zip-up cardigan is an easy one to style or bring wherever you go, stuffing it into your work bag, large tote, or personal item on the plane. You can wear the mock turtleneck on its own zipped or unzipped over a shirt and underneath coats. Since the ribbed top is fitted, I suggest sizing up if you want a roomier fit. Shop the cardigan in black, rust, and slate blue.
Wild Fable Faux Shearling Full Zip-Up Sweatshirt
Since I live in LA, I don’t need to wear a coat most of the time, but I do need toasty pullovers. This one checked off all my boxes as a cozy, cute sweatshirt I can wear at home, on errands, and to last-minute get-togethers. Made of 100 percent recycled polyester, the fabric feels much softer than I expected, and I can’t wait to wear the pullover to my sports leagues this season. I love that it’s oversized in the arms and chest, so I can add layers underneath comfortably, while the hem hits just below the waist for a flattering, cropped fit. Even better, it’s finished with a hood for brisk mornings and stash pockets for carrying essentials on the go.
Universal Thread Hoodie Sweatshirt
I’ve worn this Universal Thread sweatshirt every night this week — it’s just that good. Available in seven solid colors, the hoodie is a classic wardrobe staple with a subtle twist thanks to its snugger fit and ribbed details. It has a lot of styling potential since you can dress it up with jeans and fun accessories or down with a pair of matching sweats. One shopper agreed calling it “sleek and stylish,” adding that they love the hoodie so much they’ve bought multiples.
Universal Thread High-Rise Wide-Leg Sweatpants
I bought the brand’s matching sweatpants, and my only regret is not buying them sooner. Made of 80 percent cotton and 20 percent recycled polyester, the sweats are so soft and more comfortable than any pair I’ve ever owned. The high-rise style has an elastic waistband that’s easy to roll down, while the wide leg offers more room to wear thick socks underneath. Popular colors are selling out quickly, so I suggest snagging a pair in your size right now.
Stars Above Quilted Robe
My apartment does not have great insulation, so I desperately needed a new robe to keep me warm while lounging at home. Stars Above is my go-to brand for all things cozy, so when I spotted this stylish robe, I knew I had to get it. The quilted design doubles as a puffer trench coat you can honestly wear outside without any side eyes (trust me, I’ve put it to the test). It also has two patch pockets perfect for my phone, wallet, and keys. The robe feels like “wearing your favorite duvet,” as one customer put it, and another person confirmed it's softer than similar styles four times the price.
Stars Above Emily Puff Scuff Slippers
My coworker recommended these slippers a while ago, and I wish I had listened to her sooner. The $10 pair already replaced my Uggs as my go-to indoor shoes. The interior faux fur lining feels super luxe, while the outsole traction ensures I don’t slip as I do chores. Shop the fuzzy slippers in 11 colors, including three checkered patterns.
