Who Went Home on Joey’s ‘The Bachelor’ Season 28 Premiere?
Joey Graziadei began his search for love on Monday night’s premiere of The Bachelor Season 28.
Host Jesse Palmer told the curly-haired tennis teacher, 28, who loved and lost Charity Lawson on last summer’s The Bachelorette Season 20, that he would be greeting the largest cast of women ever on the show—32 hopefuls.
The episode began with an emotional tease on how Joey’s season will end, showing the hunk crying on a beach and moaning to crew members, “Oh, God. It sucks.”
Then cameras reminded fans how Joey’s journey all began, with Charity rejecting him in Fiji, telling her sad runner-up suitor that she felt love deeper with Dotun Olubeko, who became her fiancé.
But Joey bounced back when he was named The Bachelor. The Pennsylvania native told cameras he wants a woman who is open, caring, adventurous and fun.
Joey has a hard act to follow as hugely popular The Golden Bachelor, Gerry Turner, married his show choice Theresa Nist in a live ABC wedding on Jan. 4.

Bachelor contestants get creative with their limo introductions?
There were numerous creative entrances, but also some sad stories.
Toronto native Lexi told cameras that because of health issues, she might not be able to have children.
Maria, also from Canada, confided her parents were divorced.
Rachel, an ICU nurse from Hawaii, where Joey lived for some time, gave him a lei.
Erika carried a boom box out of the limo so she could dance with Joey.
A clip about Kelsey A., who lives in New Orleans, revealed that she has dealt with the death of her mother.
But she was lighthearted in gifting Joey a voodoo doll that carried a tennis racket.
A beauty stated that her name was Chandler and his was Joey, so like on the show Friends, “I’ll be there for you.”
Zoe suggestively had Joey choose a size from a tray of bananas!
Madina arrived in a limo with oodles of tennis balls falling out.
Some of the ladies abandoned the limo altogether!
Jenn rode up to The Bachelor mansion in a go-cart!
But Jess topped her by arriving in a towed boat to kick off her relation'ship'. She insisted to cameras about Joey, “This is my first meeting with my husband.”
Daisy, who grew up on Christmas tree farm, arrived in a red truck with a Christmas tree in the back.

Evalin cried hysterically beforehand because she hadn’t received much time with Joey and was sure she would go home.
What did Daisy reveal about her life?
Fans found out the pretty blonde will be one of the most interesting contestants on the season, as she said, “When I was 17, I started losing my hearing. The last few years, it started getting really bad. I was not able to hear and understand people, which was really hard and really sad. But I got a Cochlear implant this last year in my left ear and it’s honestly completely changed my life. It’s exciting to me because I forgot like the everyday sounds. I’m so thankful and so happy and my life is so full of love and I honestly just want someone to share all that with.”
Daisy said she hasn’t dated since she got her implant. The account exec said, “I feel like Joey has a huge heart. He’s seems very genuine.”
Who did Joey kiss on The Bachelor premiere?
Jenn challenged Joey to a go-cart race and after she told him she was learning to play tennis, they kissed.
Daisy told Joey her entrance reflected her life, as she grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Minnesota.
They wound up smooching and Daisy raved to cameras that he was “a good kisser.”
She didn’t want to tell Joey about her Cochlear implant right away, but was struggling to hear the other women as they all chattered in the mansion.
In an usual setup with two sisters competing, Alison and Lauren both wanted to kiss Joey. Alison got the first kiss.
What did Jess do to provoke others?
Jess pushed the envelope more after boasting about her Joey kiss, interrupting Taylor as she was trying to talk to him.
Delivering a familiar Bachelor bad girl line, Jess declared, “I’m definitely not here to make friends.”
Taylor slammed Jess’ “audacity” and later pulled her aside to complain, “You gotta respect the other girls…karma is real.”
Jess wasn’t sorry, saying, “It happened. I did it.”
How did the sisters reveal themselves?
Allison told her sister Lauren that they should probably tell the other ladies they were family.
“We are sisters!” they announced to the group.
Lexi told cameras, “It was shocking.”
With the others thinking the situation was bizarre, Allison stole Joey from Lauren in her private time before she could kiss him.
Allison wound up smooching Joey first!
With both gals telling him they grew up near Philadelphia, Joey wasn’t surprised when they confessed to him that they were sisters.
In the understatement of all time, Joey sighed to cameras, “There’s a lot of problems that can come with that.”
Who looked like a strong contender?
Joey’s one-on-one time with Kelsey A. seemed electric. The stunner told him she grew up in a military family and at one point lived in Germany. She would be willing to live anywhere.
The well-traveled tennis pro lit up at that, and felt “chemistry” with Kelsey A.
Who also struck sparks with Joey?
Maria had vowed to cameras that she wouldn’t kiss him because he’d been “having his fun tonight” and “I want to leave him wanting more.”
Joey told cameras after sharing alone time with her that Maria was a “firecracker.”
They wound up kissing anyway, and Maria laughed to cameras, “Oops…I definitely couldn’t resist.”
What did Lea’s special card say?
As fans know, Lea was the first contestant to meet Joey and did so when he was named The Bachelor during Charity’s Bachelorette After The Final Rose special.
She was awarded a card that she couldn’t open until The Bachelor premiered.
But when Lea did, she cried because it entitled her to stealing any one-on-one date from another woman any time before the hometowns episode.
Lea sobbed that it would come at someone else’s expense.
She told Joey privately that she didn’t want to use the card, because the others had sacrificed so much to be there and it wouldn’t be fair.
Lea told the other women and burned the card in the mansion fireplace as they praised her selflessness.
Joey was so impressed by Lea that he gave the first impression rose and they kissed.
What happened at the first rose ceremony?
Evalin cried hysterically beforehand because she hadn’t received much time with Joey and was sure she would go home.
With Lea already holding the first impression rose, Joey gave roses, in order, to: Allison, Daisy, Kelsey T., Lexi, Jess, Jenn, Autumn, Chrissa, Edwina, Kelsey A., Katelyn, Rachel, Erika, Madina, Sydney, Starr, Marlena, Maria, Taylor, Evalin (who was relieved), and Lauren, who was frustrated that Joey had given the first rose to her sister and the last one to her!
