Welp, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi Are Reportedly Postponing Their Wedding Until Next Year
Princess Beatrice and Edo Mapelli Mozzi were planning on having their wedding in May, but have to cancel because of the coronavirus pandemic.
A source shared that they now want to have a big wedding next year.
If you've been paying any attention to Princess Beatrice's engagement to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, you'll know it's been a bumpy ride to say the least. First, the couple had to move and then downsize their engagement party due to Prince Andrew's Jeffrey Epstein scandal, and then they had to put off announcing their wedding date because of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's exit from the royal fam. And now, because of coronavirus, they can't have their May wedding as planned and were considering getting married in front of only two (2!) guests. What a nightmare!
However, a new report shares that Beatrice and Edo are also thinking about simply moving their wedding to next year in order to have a "much larger affair." A source tells Daily Mail:
As the granddaughter of the Queen, it seems unfair that Bea would have had to hide her nuptials from the public when her younger sister Eugenie did not have to. Eugenie’s wedding was televised and watched by three million viewers in the UK alone.
Beatrice and Eugenie’s profiles and workload will increase after the departure of Harry and Meghan. Beatrice wants to show the public that she will never shirk her civic duties. She wants the public to see her as an individual, and not to be judged for the mistakes of her father. By next year, it would be wonderful if she could hold her head up high as she walks down the aisle in front of hundreds of people.
Plus, Beatrice and Edo were planning on having their reception at Buckingham Palace, which seems to suggest that they aren't really small wedding people anyways. Should be interesting to see how/when this wedding finally turns out!
