New waterfront seafood restaurant replaces Pietro's on the River in Jensen Beach
What's the name of the new restaurant in Jensen Beach?
The Nest a.k.a. Nest on the River
Where is The Nest?
8735 S. Ocean Drive, Jensen Beach; Island Dunes Country Club; former location of Pietro’s on the River, which closed after owner Pietro Valentini retired in December
Who owns The Nest?
Owners Bill and Jean McLean, who have lived in the area for 25 years, bought the restaurant in December and spent the next two months renovating. They previously operated a restaurant in Ketchikan, Alaska. They chose that location so he could fish during the summer, but he never had enough time to fish. He often waded in the Indian River Lagoon to go fishing. They sold their Alaskan restaurant last year but decided to do it all over again in Jensen Beach at a location with that same river in the backyard.
