The biggest night in football is finally here, and we're not talking about the Super Bowl. Move over Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts because the 2023 Puppy Bowl is upon us!
For the 19th year, the furriest (and most adorable) game of football returns to television. This year's game will welcome 122 rescue puppies from over 60 different shelters, including 11 with special needs, as they battle it out for the "Lombarky" trophy. Just like any plain old human football game (boring!), fans can root for their favorite team as the four-legged friends are divided into Team Ruff and Team Fluff. But, in the end everyone's a winner!
For this year's big game, fans can expect the return of the Kitten Halftime Show that'll give Rihanna a run for her money, the Puppy Cheer Squad and of course, the water bowl cameras to get up close and personal with your favorite paw-layers.
Besides having something extremely cute to look at on Super Bowl Sunday, the Puppy Bowl aims to bring awareness about animal adoption and best of all—every puppy player is adoptable.
So, when is the 2023 Puppy Bowl?
Puppy Bowl XIX airs Sunday, February 12 at 2PM ET/11AM PT. The pregame show begins an hour before kickoff to give fans a chance to hear interviews from each team's coaches and the profiles on each of the puppy players.
