Watch Mason Ho Get Barreled and Dodge Rocks On a Beautiful North Shore Day
Compared to other Hawaiian Islands, surf spots on Oahu's North Shore aren't that rocky.
For instance, surfers on the Big Island can only dream of sandy beaches and soft, fine-grained sand lining the shore at a surf spot.
So relatively speaking, rocks on the North Shore are few and far between. Rocks amidst its exquisite white sand beaches stand out so much, that the few breaks with rocks are named after them, like Rocky Point and Rock Piles. Okay, Marijuana's, Chuns, and Leftovers are rocky too, but they're outside of the North Shore's main surfing area.
Anyway, no one really has to surf over shallow reefs or dodge boulders when surfing the North Shore.
But in the latest edit from Ho & Pringle Productions, Mason Ho has an epic session doing exactly that and emerges unscathed.
Ho & Pringle Productions captioned the edit above:
"Yesterday morning Mason Ho grabbed a new GoPro HERO 12 and surfed his beloved garden of rocks. Maybe having a little too much fun he decides to have an actual taste. Here is his point of view (POV)."
The edit is under 10 minutes of POV footage from Ho's GoPro on a beautiful North Shore day. The sun is shining, the barrels are bright blue, and the fish are frolicking.
It's no wonder Ho's got a big fat smile on his face in some selfies.
He's so happy he literally kisses a rock.
