Watch Kai Lenny Share a Mental Party Wave with a Windsurfer at Jaws
It's probably quicker to make a list of things Kai Lenny can't do in the water, as opposed to all of crazy sh*t he can do in the ocean. But on second thought, there might not be anything to put on that list.
The guy does seem a little like a superhero. He tow surfs behind horses and saves puppies on foil boards, boosts barrel rolls at Cloudbreak, tows in at Teahupo'o, serves as a hometown hero, and just all-around rips on every type of board there is.
He even finds time for some less hard-core activities, like making luxury car parodies, and donating his time to honor martial arts legend Bruce Lee.
While most surfers have nothing but pure disdain for sharing a wave with someone else, Lenny doesn't seem to mind.
Earlier this year, Kai and his younger brother, Ridge, who apparently has no problem keeping up with his big bro, got a huge tandem tube at Jaws and even carved out their own category as contenders in the New Big Wave Challenge.
In the clip above, Lenny goes tandem at enormous Jaws again, this time with Australian pro windsurfer Jason Polakow, who was the first person to windsurf Nazaré.
Red Bull Surfing shared the clip yesterday and captioned it:
"@kai_lenny and @jasonpolakow taking the whole party wave thing to a whole other level"
The video's pretty straightforward.
It shows Lenny and Polakow, both regular footers, going frontside while sharing an enormous bomb at Jaw as smoothly and seamlessly as two synchronized swimmers.
